I’ve been learning the art of mortgages and real estate from the inside out since 2018.
I started at MegaStar Financial’s headquarters in 2018 as a loan processor and LO assistant, working and auditing files through underwriting, escrow, and title, which is where you find out what actually makes a loan close on time and what makes one fall apart three days before closing.
By early 2020 I originated my first loan, and was kicked into the deep end with the refinance and purchase boom. In my first 2 years, I closed over $22 million, was named Rookie of the Year in 2020, #1 LOA in 2021, and recognized as a Five Star Mortgage Professional Rising Star in 2021.
But I had to step away due to the origination market’s cliff in 2022, and see what else I was capable of. I found myself with 2 years of B2B commercial roofing sales under my belt, working as a vendor contractor representative for commercial and multifamily property managers, municipal facilities, and building owners across the Front Range.
It was a different product but the same job: sit and communicate with someone through an important, complex, expensive but affirmative decision, and do my best to make it feel simple for them.
I'm back in lending with Jim Nolte and the Ultimate Lending Team at Greenlight Mortgage Group because this is where my work matters most.

I can’t help but feel the need to stay in touch with weekly updates during your loan process, because appraisal, underwriting, and clear to close are awesome moments that you won't experience often.
But I don’t go silent just because the loan process is done: I’ll be checking in after you close. Because your loan journey likely won't end there, if I'm doing my job as best as I can.
I do all this, because the bar is in the dirt for the average LO nowadays.
