I’m Scott Carlin, a licensed mortgage loan officer with Xpert Home Lending and a 20-year U.S. Air Force veteran. I specialize in helping veterans, active-duty service members, military families, and first-time homebuyers understand their financing options and move through the mortgage process with confidence.

Because of my military background, I understand the unique challenges that can come with VA loans, PCS moves, military income, disability compensation, and the transition from active duty to civilian life. I take the time to explain how the loan works, review the numbers clearly, and help each borrower choose an option that fits both their immediate needs and long-term goals.

In addition to VA financing, I work with conventional, FHA, USDA, jumbo, down payment assistance, renovation, bridge, DSCR, bank statement, and other alternative loan programs. My background in residential real estate and real estate investing also helps me look at a transaction from more than just the lending side.

Borrowers can expect direct communication, honest answers, realistic expectations, and regular updates throughout the process. I believe people should understand what they are signing, why a particular loan is being recommended, and what to expect before making one of the largest financial decisions of their lives.

I live in Palm Bay, Florida, with my family and enjoy fishing, fitness, and spending time along Florida’s Space Coast.
